Getting to and from Kastoria Airport
The airport is beside Argos Orestiko on the Kastoria–Kozani road, a quarter of an hour from the lake. Taxis meet the flights, the KTEL passes on the main road, and hire cars are delivered on request. In winter the plain is under fog on many mornings and the mountain roads to Nestorio and the Prespa lakes can be snowbound; allow for both.

Taxis from Argos Orestiko and Kastoria meet the scheduled flights; the town run is metered, the longer fares are agreed from the posted board, and the night tariff applies after midnight. With only a few flights a week the rank is not always staffed, so book for your arrival time.

KTEL and hire cars
No bus serves the terminal. The Kastoria–Argos Orestiko KTEL passes on the main road a few hundred metres away, roughly hourly, and the Kastoria KTEL station has coaches to Thessaloniki, Kozani, Ioannina and Athens. Kastoria rental agencies deliver cars to the airport by reservation; from December to March ask for winter tyres or chains, as the region is the coldest in Greece.
