Kasos Airport (KSJ) is a short strip on the shore 1 km west of Fry, the port and only town of the southernmost Dodecanese island, between Karpathos and Crete. Only small turboprops land here. Olympic Air flies from Karpathos, a 10-minute hop, and on to Rhodes and Sitia a few times a week all year; there are no other routes and no international flights.

Kasos has about a thousand residents, five villages, a couple of taxis and almost no tourism infrastructure, which is the point of going. The airport is close enough to Fry to walk.

Fry is 1 km away, a 15-minute walk along the shore or about €6 by taxi. The island has two taxis and no bus; the villages are all within ten minutes.
