Car hire at Naxos Airport

The beach strip from Agios Prokopios to Plaka is walkable and bus-served, and a couple of days there need no car. The rest of Naxos does: the Tragaea villages under Mount Zas, Apiranthos with its marble lanes, the kouros statues at Melanes and Apollonas, and the beaches beyond Plaka, Mikri Vigla, Kastraki and Alyko, where the bus stops. Desks and delivery are at the terminal.

Driving from the airport

The airport road meets the Chora–beaches road in two minutes. North to Chora and the ring road for the inland villages (Chalki and Filoti in 30 minutes, Apiranthos in 40, Apollonas in an hour); south for Agios Prokopios, Agia Anna, Plaka and the beach road on to Mikri Vigla and Alyko. Chora’s old town is pedestrian: park by the port or the ring road and walk.
