Getting to and from Kythira Airport
The airport is at the top of the island and Chora at the bottom, with Potamos, the market town, in between. No bus serves the airport, and the island bus runs between Agia Pelagia, Potamos, Chora and Kapsali only a couple of times a day in summer. The ferry from Diakofti, ten minutes away, crosses to Neapoli in the Peloponnese in about an hour and a quarter, and continues to Antikythira and Crete a few times a week.
