Driving from the airport

The airport road reaches the Patras–Pyrgos national road at Kato Achaia in ten minutes. East to Patras in 45 minutes and the Rio bridge or the Athens motorway beyond; south to Kyllini port (45 minutes), Pyrgos and Olympia (75 minutes) and the Ilia beaches; the Kalogria turn-off is signed a few minutes from the terminal. The Patras–Pyrgos road is being upgraded to motorway in stages; expect roadworks.
